Essential Etiquette for Professionals

Time: 3Hours

Participants will learn to make a lasting positive first impression by understanding what “professionalism” means in relation to appearance and attitude and what “performance” attire is.  You will gain knowledge of appropriate greetings and introductions, effective use of eye contact and personal space and how to use business cards effectively.  Time will be devoted to discovering how to control nonverbal messages YOU send through tone of voice, posture and volume of speaking and how to avoid “phone fury” by handling yourself effectively on the telephone and how to properly use voicemail, cell phones, PDA’s and pagers.  Recognize which etiquette errors can cost your reputation and diminish client respect.
