QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Responsible for supporting the Banquet Manager with the daily operations of the Banquet Department. Under the direct supervision of the Banquet Manager and General Manager, the Assistant Banquet Manager will work closely with the Sales Department and Executive Chef of Canad Inns to organize and coordinate events by ensuring all details and services for meetings, conventions, catering and special events are completed based on client requests and event sheet detail. Attend all leadership, operational and Management meetings and banquet event meetings as well as other applicable meetings as required. Ability to manage effectively, hire and train, banquet supervisors and serving staff. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager and General Manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Good organizational and management skills in a fast paced customer-service oriented atmosphere are required.
Candidates must be able to stretch and bend frequently; deal with loud noises, large crowds and potentially upset guests in a fast-paced often demanding environment; lift, balance and carry heavy loads; stand, walk and remain on feet and perform job duties for during your shift while working quickly and efficiently.
This position requires you to be available to work Days, Nights, and Weekends.
