Hotel Maintenance Person

Wage Range: $12.00 - $15.50/hour

Primary responsibilities of this full time position:

· Ensures that the interiors, exteriors and the surrounding grounds of all Russell Inn properties are maintained, safe and presentable at all times and that all mechanical functions on the property and in the guest rooms are in good working order.

Duties include:

· Minor adjustments/repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems; contacts tradespersons for major repairs

· Routine maintenance jobs such as minor painting touch-ups, drywall repair, basic carpentry work

· Monitors pool & chemical levels

· May move heavy furniture, freight/supplies

The ideal candidate will:

· Be able to work independently

· Trouble shoot and problem solve maintenance issues and call in a tradesperson when necessary

· Possess/attain a valid Class 5 license

· Have previous demonstrated experience in one or more trades, building caretaking, handy work, etc.
