SUMMARY STATEMENT: The Front of House Manager is responsible for the operation of the front of house of Horfrost restaurant. This position encompasses bar and fine dining management.  MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 1. Front House Manager a) Coordinate and ensure the smooth operation of the Front of House. b) Ensure the safety of patrons, and staff through the proper implementation and enforcement of emergency procedures. c) Coordinate staff (servers and hostess) through training, evaluation and delegation of duties as necessary. d) Prepare Front of House manager’s reports nightly including house counts, deposits, and customer feedback. e) Coordinate the use of the restaurant for private functions including set up, decoration, and clean up.  f) Report and follow through on any malfunctions and safety concerns in the restaurant to supervisorg) Maintain inventory and arrange delivery of supplies as needed  REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:  Preferred: Post-secondary education – diploma or certificate Experience with fine dining restaurant is essential First Aid training and CPR (level A) Excellent interpersonal skills, even temperament, ability to supervise effectively  Strong organizational and management skills  Willing to work long hours and split shifts Sustained physical activity through lifting up to 50lb. (canisters and water bottles), and remaining on feet for long periods of time  Ability to handle fast paced environment with many disruptions  PERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES AND CRITERIA:  Maintain a professional image Efficient organization to accomplish the many facets of FOH  Building strong relationships to provide a harmonious environment  Responsive and considerate of the customers needs Ethical consideration in all duties
