Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C with AED

FIRST AID TRAINING CENTRE provides the following list of value added components to all our in-house First Aid, CPR and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) training. Some of them include:

  • Professional, fun and knowledgeable staff certified as Authorized Instructors with the CANADIAN RED CROSS.
  • Provide course specific manuals for students to keep. We only use accredited material developed by the CANADIAN RED CROSS, which is recognized in over 180 countries around the world! 

This one-day course offers an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid. Exceeds competitors’ standards by including injury prevention content, CPR and AED.

Included in the course:

Adult, Child and Infant CPR and Choking Management; AED Certification and practise, Prevention of Disease Transmissions; Legalities, Red Cross Emergency Action Principles/Fundamental Principles, Treatment of Deadly Bleeding, Shock Treatment, Secondary Survey, Heart Attack, Stroke, Allergies, Asthma, Minor and Major Wound Care like Cuts and Scrapes, Amputations and Impalements; Administration of Drugs Protocol; and any relevant topics applicable to your needs.

All participants will receive a CPR barrier device to ensure a hygienic environment as well as their own mannequin to practice with.   We also have First Aid equipment and simulation kits to provide realistic training on all the First Aid practise.

Food Handler Certification
Time: 9:00am-4:00pm
Length: 6 Hours
Location: MTEC
Cost: $85.00 (plus GST)

MTEC is an authorized contractor to deliver Manitoba Health’s approved Food Handler’s Certification Program, administer the provincial exam and now be able to score the exams. Scoring the exams will give us the ability to get the results and certificates processed and mailed out within one week of completing the exam.

  • This course is recommended for all owners, managers and supervisors of food service establishments and food service personnel who are responsible for the receiving, preparing and serving of food.
  • Food Service Establishments with 5 food handlers are required to have at least 1 staff member who has successfully completed the Food Handler Certification.
  • Food Service Establishments with more than 5 food handlers working at any one time must have a person who has successfully completed the Food Handler Certification on duty at all times.

Coffee is provided, please feel free to bring a lunch. Government Issued Photo ID is required and must be presented on the day of training.
Exams are available in French, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
