Customer Service is so much more than smiling and answering customer's questions. It is a potential customer's access to your business. Can customers book directly online and your website states that you are full, when in fact space has opened up? Does someone from your organization keep the space availability current? Are voicemail messages returned in a timely manner? You may be losing customers and potential customers and not even be aware of it. Worse yet, they may be able to book somewhere else, prefer the new business and not return to yours.
Businesses spend a great deal of time figuring out how to increase sales and keeping their operations profitable. Many times they are not aware of the impact one dissatisfied customer can have on their business. People are far more likely to talk about a negative experience than a positive one. With all of the competition that is out there, you may only get once chance to expose that customer to your business. Every contact with your business should be positive. The only way that can happen is if the customer receives consistent service in a timely manner.
