Learn How To Save A Life - Today or in 42 Years!

For the first time since he invented the maneuver 42 years prior, he actually administered the maneuver and saved a life! Last month we gave you the statistics of how many people die in Canada every year from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The number is 35-45,000, which is 1 person every 12 minutes. Over 600,000 people experience Sudden Cardiac Arrest in the United States each year and only 7% survive. Before you read further, please watch this 3 minute video.

You may think that you will never need to perform CPR or use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), but maybe you will.

In 1974 Henry Heimlich, a thoracic surgeon, invented the Heimlich maneuver, a technique of abdominal thrusts for stopping choking. He was inspired to invent this life saving maneuver after reading a story in the New York Times in 1972 about how over 3,000 people choked to death that year. He developed a technique that the public at large could administer; not just medical professionals.
In May of this year, the 96 year old Dr. Heimlich was sitting next to an 87 year old woman in a nursing home as she started choking. For the first time since he invented the maneuver 42 years prior, he actually administered the Heimlich maneuver and saved her life! It is estimated that 50,000 lives have been saved using this maneuver since 1974.

"AED EMPOWERMENT"

Maybe you will never need to perform CPR and use an AED, but maybe you will. Maybe next week or in 42 years! Maybe you will be able to save the life of a family member, colleague or complete stranger.
  • Learn how you can increase a person's odds of surviving a Sudden Cardiac Arrest from 5% with CPR to 75% with CPR and an AED!
  • This 3 hour session will explain the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest.
  • You will learn how to perform CPR and how to use an AED.
  • This informative session will walk participants through the entire process from start to finish, and prepare them to deal with this life threatening emergency, including hands-on practice performing CPR and using an AED on mannequins.
