The Opportunity
We are seeking a Coordinator, Memberships who will report to the Manager, Visitor Services. The Coordinator, Memberships will increase memberships and associated revenues, and recommend enhancements to our member relations, benefits, loyalty and appreciation programs. As the primary liaison directly providing exceptional customer service in order to create extraordinary experiences for our members, the Coordinator will develop new members and enhance existing member relationships, which includes effective database management, timely membership processing, and effective management of member concerns or complaints. By monitoring industry trends, researching prospective member groups, designing and implementing new member solicitation, communication and retention programs, directly soliciting new members, and arranging unique "members only" experiences the Coordinator, Memberships will create outstanding value in our programs that ensure membership satisfaction, renewal, loyalty and that builds relationships with our members. The Coordinator, Memberships will assist in training and providing support materials for all staff and volunteers to aid in increasing memberships, will monitor processes to make recommendations to increase efficiencies and member satisfaction, and will prepare and provide progress and results reporting to management. Working with our Events, Catering, Park Programming, Resource Development and Visitor Services departments, and some partners, the Coordinator, Memberships will actively seek and share referrals and promote APC's products, services, and experiences.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma with a minimum of three years of experience in a customer service based work environment, with prior experience using a member relations system/database. Post secondary education in hospitality/event/tourism management or a related field is an asset. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork, organization, and customer service skills, and a highly professional presentation and demeanour for quickly building rapport, resolving visitor and member concerns, maintaining respectful working relationships with fellow employees, and providing extraordinary experiences to our visitors. Candidates must demonstrate skill in calmly managing multiple priorities and high volumes of work independently while attending to details, maintaining confidentiality, maintaining a sales and customer service focus, and ensuring safe and professional work environment. Candidates must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software, and demonstrate the ability to learn new technology and systems quickly. Previous experience with Galaxy Ticketing Systems and/or Raisers Edge, previous experience as a trainer, a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License, the ability to speak French and/or other languages are assets. Candidates must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position (documentation of physical capacity may be required), and must be able to manage a flexible work schedule including days, some evenings and weekends including holidays. Successful candidates will be subject to Criminal Record Checks.
