Personal Safety-Being Aware of Your Surroundings & Assessing People Around You CLASSROOM
The Personal Safety-Being Aware of Your Surroundings & Assessing People Around You session will explain how your employees can protect themselves by being aware of their surroundings and will explain ways to minimize their chances of being harmed.
Training will include simple ways you can protect your staff, yourself and your family. Whether leaving a business or entering a parking lot, there are things you can do to make yourself less of a target. Everything from your body language to the way you walk, can make you less of a target of someone who would want to take advantage of you. This training program has been developed by two Winnipeg Police Officers; one who is retired and a security specialist for the hospitality industry and will be delivering the classroom component of this program.
The second part of this session will be on Active Listening and techniques you can use for your advantage. How you can turn a negative into a positive, based on how you handle the situation. Developing active listening skills will be beneficial to you in your business and personal life. You will gain skills on ways to deescalate situations by how you respond and deal with them.
- There will be 2 videos presented to complement this training that will be posted on the MTEC website after the session, for those unable to attend or would like to view them again.
