The mission of the Manitoba Tourism Education Council (MTEC) is to enhance the performance and ensure the sustainability of Manitoba’s tourism and hospitality industry by delivering relevant training and human resource development.
Future Focus
Tourism is a dynamic and diverse industry that employs over 59,000 people in Manitoba. MTEC plays a key role in this competitive business environment by delivering proven training programs to preserve and enhance the level of customer service, skills training, safety programs and general business training throughout the province.
As travellers expectations rise, so too does the need for quality training initiatives and therefore, MTEC continues to enhance, upgrade and employ new technologies to provide current and relevant programs to people in the Manitoba Tourism Industry.
