DESCRIPTION: | True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Culinary Supervisor to join our team at Canada Life Centre. The Culinary Supervisor will be working with the culinary team to oversee and lead the culinary team in Canada Life Centre. This position includes supervising and coaching employees and does not require any cooking. What to be excited for in this role: Liase with scheduling team to ensure proper staffing. Maintain and ensure schedule is upheld. Ensure employees and Supervisors comply with all company policies and procedures. Supervise and support the kitchen operations at Canada Life Centre. Support training and ongoing support for all kitchen employees. Ensure that employees practice strict safety and sanitation. Uphold open and professional communication with the team. Communicate effectively with Chef, kitchen team, and customers. Build relationships with team members to provide support and guidance. Oversee proper inventory control, cleanliness, equipment operation, and safety. Ensure leaders are informed of issues that arise, and support resolutions. Other duties as assigned. What we need from you: 2+ years of supervisory experience, an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and be adept at learning and adapting to new technologies and software as required. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to communicate with all patrons, customers and colleagues. Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Ability to effectively and efficiently solve concerns with the utmost professionalism. Ability to keep calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. The highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics. Available to work afternoons, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to bend, crouch and safely lift up to 50lbs (22.7kg). Why you should join us. We are True North!
