| DESCRIPTION: | Manitoba’s oldest golf club, with the province’s newest golf course, Southwood Golf & Country Club (www.southwood.ca) is currently seeking a qualified individual as Food & Beverage Manager. The position requires hands on management of all food & beverage, banquet planning and supervision functions. The Candidate must also possess food & beverage service capabilities and the ability to manage staff. A “service” mindset is a requirement to provide support to other staff members as well as frequent interaction with club members. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for all food & beverage operations and management. We require a hands-on person whose responsibilities involve training and supervising service personnel to assure member and guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing detailed plans and ensuring success for all events, weddings and banquet functions. Training, supervising, scheduling and evaluating all food & beverage service staff. Ensuring professional, responsive and friendly service to members & guests. Ensuring that all appropriate charges are billed correctly to each event. Assuming closing manager or manager on duty responsibilities when assigned. Assuring that provincial and local laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed. Developing, documenting and ensuring that standard operating policies and procedures are followed. Performing other tasks as requested.
