Event Coordinator 101 CLASSROOM

Whether you are a full time event manager or someone who is "just good at organizing things", then this session is for you!  During this session, you will learn top tips of event coordination as they relate to the 6 major functions: administration, logistics, marketing, risk management, human resources and professionalism. Topics will include: - the importance of setting appropriate goals - learning how to measure event success by setting effective targets - developing the tools and checklists that will help you organize your event management - the 5 top questions to ask to ensure event success.

Food Handler Certification
Time: 10:00am-3:00pm
Length: 5 Hours

Cost: $85.00 (plus GST)

Food Handler Certification

Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Location: MTEC Training Centre  75 Scurfield Blvd. , Unit 3 (Free parking in front of the building)

MTEC is an authorized contractor to deliver Manitoba Health’s approved Food Handler’s Certification Program, administer the provincial exam and score the exams. Exams will be processed and certificates  mailed out within one week of completing the exam.

  • This course is recommended for all owners, managers and supervisors of food service establishments and food service personnel who are responsible for the receiving, preparing and serving of food.
  • Food Service Establishments with 5 food handlers are required to have at least 1 staff member who has successfully completed the Food Handler Certification.
  • Food Service Establishments with more than 5 food handlers working at any one time must have a person who has successfully completed the Food Handler Certification on duty at all times.
